1992 Lexus ES 300 DTC: 28 Trouble

Hi I got a 1992 lexus es300 and recently I just got a trouble code scan of DTC: 28 what does that code mean and how can I fix the problem and when I start it it idle high before the MIL came on and the code was on it was running fine and after the code it just start idle high

Can someone help I really need to fix this asap

Are you sure its a 28?The codes go from 27 and the next highest one is 31.

Yea on the scan tool it say DTC: 28

Maybe because it a lexus or obd1

I looked up a 1992 so its going to be obd1 and the codes go from 27 then the next number is 31 but I will look some more.

I see that code for a 1992 Toyota Camry but not the lexus you have. Its for a o2 sensor. Doesnt explain the high idle though. Do you have a V6 engine?

Yes it a v6 and yea it idle high for about 5-10min and then goes back to normal

How did you look for a vacuum leak with carb spray?The best way is with smoke also have you checked to see if your idle air control valve is sticking?

I check it both way with smoke first and how do u check your idler air control if it sticking

I would remove it see if its carboned up clean it all up.
