Hello everyone, I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota, 4x4, with a v-8, 318ci motor. Since I have owned the truck, I have had success with it. The most costly repair I have had to have done is a transmission overhaul at 160,000 miles. I am told this is a pretty common problem with the transmission but the 318 is a very solid motor for a small block v-8. At any rate, I keep very regular maintenance of this vehicle and I am at a point in time where I am starting to modify the vehicle. I have just recently installed a power sunroof with no real problems. I would like to modify my front seats. As you probably know, I have the 60/40 bench style seat with the middle arm rest. I would like to take the bench out and put in regular bucket seats in it. But I don't know for sure if they make bucket seats for the truck. I read an article that said bucket seats MAY be available in the Dakota Sport or R/T models. But after searching endlessly online, I can't seem to verify that. The other factor that I have to consider is, IF buckets are available in the above stated vehicles, will the frames match up in my 1992? If the buckets aren't available, is there another car manufacturer that makes seats that will match up? Can someone give me some advice or suggestions about this? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

You can get aftermarket seats with brackets for your truck from Corbeau. Just search this brand online and it will lead you to their site. If you want really nice seats you can go to Recaro.
