1992 Dodge Dakota camshaft

If I put a bigger can in my 92 dekota would I have to reprogram the computer to except it or would I be ok with what's on it and what can I do to get power without messing with the computer

Id try bigger injectors and exhaust before changing the cam. If I was going to replace the cam, id replace the whole head with a performance one. There may even be a plug and run system out there for better performance from the ECM and engine you have now
