I have done work on my engine, and at one point had it running. I was going out to adjust the timing and the engine wouldn't run. I found out that the wire was mot connected to the ignition module. I fixed that and now have no spark on 2, 4, or 6 cylinder. I have it on the other side, but no engine start. I replaced the Distributor cap, rotor button, and spark plug wires. At a loss here and would love to have my engine adn truck running once more.

Go to the DIY section on the site here and it will take you step by step how to check your iginition system. You might have a pickup coil bad. Also when you put he cap on you have to tighten the screws evenely or you can damage the cap. It's under tune up on the diy site.
