My car didn't want to turn on any more from a bad fuel pump. But I changed the pump and it ran good for about 20 min then it shuts off and wont start till it cools down.

The fuel needle didn't work so it always showed fuel tank. So I tide the needle up with wire. Also the fuel strainer also mes up but I tide it up with thin line of wire, can this be messing up the fuel pump causing it to shut down and choke

When it shuts down and won't restart, have you checked to see if fuel pressure is the issue or maybe if you are losing spark to the engine?

Their is spark because if I spray starting fluid it turns on for a bit. And will a Bad Purge Valve cause for it to do this. Because I smell like burning fuel and when I open gas cap it breaths in alot of air I hear a big swoosh.

Something could be preventing fuel to reach the engine. Have you checked the fuel pump pressure to see if it is within the manufacturer's specs?

If you are maintaining fuel pressure to the engine, I would say that isn't the problem. If you are certain that the pressure maintains even when it won't start, check to see if there is power to the fuel injector.
