Do u have the number 1 wire on the right spot on the dist. Cap? The engine needs to be on conpression stroke. Turn the crank untill the pully notch lines up with the timing plate. Put the notch in the pully at 0tdc. Then remove #1 spark plug. Use a screwdriver to probe in the hole do u feel the piston? If no your on exhaust stroke turn the crank around again to 0 tdc feel for the piston it should be up and you can feel it with the screw driver. Now your on compression stroke. Then youll need to check a distributer diagram at the parts store. So you will no where the number 1 wire is on the cap. Sometimes if you look on the top or the cap it has 1 on it. Then put number 1 wire there and follow going clockwise.18436572. Youll need to remove the dist. And reinstall it so the rotor is pointed to number 1 wire. Then make sure to set the timing.
