Hello, to anyone whom is kind enough to care/want to help me, I need to change my camshaft position sensor, but, in order to access it, the right inner fender well must be removed. Some insight as to how to do this would be greatly appreciated. As well as any other tips, or input as well. Thanks in advance, to whom ever takes the time to help out. Also, if possible, a drawing or other visual aid would be a plus.

I couldn't find the steps for the inner access panel removal but they are bolted on or they will have plastic retaining clips. That you remove the center of the clip and pop the inner part out. The center expands the clip to make it tight. The crank bolt is torque down to 200-239 ftlbs you will most likely need a puller to remove the harmonic balancer.

. Thanks, but I don't think your understanding me here. My engine is v6 3800 right. My problem is the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR, "NOT" the Crankshaft sensor. My issue here is to to get to the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. It requires that I remove the "Inner Fender Well" and/or "Splash Cover". So, in relation, again, my question is; How Do I Remove The inner fender Well/ Splash cover, in order to get access to the "Front" of the engine, under the water pump pulley, where its located? Any illustrations as to how to do this?

I see. Hum, I went back to look at it, and those things u said to remove, I have done in the past. After I did that, the only thing that was visible was the hormonic balancer, But I need to get above it. Your post didn't say how to get above that, which is my problem. Than I assume is the inner fender well, and the fender, and so forth. I understand that your resource didn't/don't given the specific way to remove that iron "wall" which is what's left over after I removed those plastic push pins and such. Any info as to how to remove the fender? Maybe that would help, as well as timing cover removal, as those things are in that area. When I looked in autozone's online manual, it says to remove inner splash guard. Thanks.

The inner splash shield is the only panel you should have to remove I have never seen a car you have to remove the inner fender liner to replace some batteries yes but not a sensor. Also having to removing the fender itself that not going to have to be done. There isn't always just remove a panel and its right in front of you sometimes you have to look and reach above to the side etc. Sometimes I put a floor jack with a piece of wood between the floor Jack an the oil pan to hold the engine in place. The remove the upper engine mount to raise and lower the engine to gain access and be able to see better the from of the engine. Sometimes the online repair info is wrong as to where sensors are I have ran into that before. Have you looked under the power steer pump yet?I just did one recent on a older 3800.
