My check engine light won't go off? How do we get it to clear? What do I need to do?

Have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. Then have it reset. If there is a problem, the light will come back on if it isn't repaired. Most parts stores will scan it for free.

This is a pre OBD-II vehicle so you can do the code retrieval yourself.
