Car is doiing Strange

Somtimes my subaru legacy 1991 just begin to run low and hi and that makes the car shake but it does not stop working, its only sometimes or after been driving for a while, the check engine light goes on sometimes to, when it does that the gas begin to work different, it does not respond acuratly, but when it does not do it my engine work perfectly, what could be the problem?

Does this happen at an idle or at any speed? Also, if the check engine light is on, there is a trouble code stored in the computer. Have it scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will do it for free.

No it dont happend add ide time speed and I am from curacao an island in the carribean, I dont know where to go to have the car scanned here on the island.
