I HAVE A 1991 PONTIAC GRAND AM IT STARTED MISS FIRING SO I REPLACED THE WIRES AND PLUGS IT GOT BETTER BUT THEN STARTED DOING THE SAME THING SO I RPLACED THE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE AND IT GOT REAL STRONG THEN A DAY LATER IT TURNED OFF ON ME AGAIN I BOUGHT THE IGNITION MODULE FROM A CHEAP STORE SHOULD I TAKER IT BACK AND GET A BETTER ONE.

Have the new module tested to see if it went bad then go from there.

I also have a 1994 chevy cavalier that dies on me after an hr of driving my heater hose was leaking the other day so I fixed it but now the problem is coming back.

Does the 94 have a 4 or 6cyl?When it dies do you have to let it cool down before it will start?If so have you checked for spark and fuel pressure when it won't start?
