I just replaced my car battery because I had noticed my car was having trouble starting, I checked the charge and it was okay but needed to be replaced soon because it was a 5 year old battery. Before I replaced the battery if the car would start it would start up right away. Today after I replaced the battery my car still wont start, the car does not crank at all, and the only sound I can hear is a faint charging sound. However the cars interior lights and air do come on and work. What could this be?

No crank at all/nothing/nada when key is engage to starting position

Could be a blown fusible link, the starter, starter relay, transmission position switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good.

No crank at all, there is a tiny almost charging like sound but that is it. Yeah I just bought the battery today, and I have checked the head lights to see if they dimmed at all and that was not the problem.
