1991 Hardbody oil light stays on when initial startup

I have a 91 hardbody. Cold start, the oil light stays on. I restart and is fine. What needs to be done? Oil pump?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings. If pressure is good, replace the oil pressure switch.

Could be the switch I spose but whole pump is only 80.00 so am gonna just do the whole thing. Tx for reply.
