My 1991 B2200 automatic, was running and starting fine, drove it home a few nights ago and in the morning it wouldn't start, I and a few friends have checked it out, looked in the haynes book, and read though a bunch of stuff on your site, and cant figure this out. Basically power isnt the issue, battery and everything is fine. Problem is when I stick my key into the ignition at 1st the key wont turn and the truck makes no door open noise, after jiggling the key turns forward and the noise can then be heard(even when the key is turned back to off, which it should). There is no response to turning the key to start, and in the acc or on position the turn signals, radio, and wipers also dont work. I'v provided all the details I can, do I need to replace my ignition switch? And if so, is there any way you could e-mail me how to hot wire my truck so I can move it to my friends garage without having to pay $100 for a tow. Thanks for the helpI

Yes, this sounds very much like a faulty ignition switch. You'll have to replace it.

If you remove the collar around the steering wheel, on the opposite side of the ignition switch, you should see a round switch that has 2 or 3 screws and three wires going to it. If you remove the screws, the switch will come of. Then on the inside of the switch you can insert a screw driver and turn your car on.

Because your car is so old, I can't say 100% for sure your car will have this kind of ignition switch. If not, just purchase another ignition assembly and replace it.
