Check engine light

Check engine light comes on and my car acts weird, it shakes a little, and when I accelerate its not as smooth, so I turn the car off, then turn it back on and the check engine light goes away and my car is fine, and the check engine light stays away for a couple of days or so, whats the deal with that?

Retrieve the trouble codes to find out what is triggerring the CEL.

Hello im back again, my cel has cut on again and cuts off when I restart the car so mechanics cant check it, dont know what o do cause when it cuts on its at odd times where I cant get to a mechanic. Please help thanks.
