What do i do if the shifter is stuck and i can not get past park?

Check if the brake lights are working. If they're not, suspect a blown brake light fuse.

Both lights work fine. The linkage isn't blocked on the outside either. i just cant figure this out!

I might try to disconnect the linkage rod and go through the gears. if they shift its a linkage problem, if not its a tranny problem... right?

I can't imagine what would cause that in the transmission.

Could be the shift interlock control solenoid
