I have a 1991 Geo prism - been using a pushbutton switch with ignition in on position to start car and can rev motor let go of button and car stops running, . Bought new ignition module and relay, still same problem. The new ignition switch fuel pump good alt good new ignition switch and module good battery, starts, runs and can wind out the starter so it will run with button held, let off button with ignition switch (with key) then car dies.

We've gotten a new one already. With key on. Well screwdriver and straight wire starting the car turns over but won't run. Still though the new switch sometimes tries to crank. But apparently that's been an existing issue hence the pushbutton. It used to actually start and run untill you let go of push button so being having new switch now and switch still won't turn car over everytime and at the moment with new switch as long as you hold key on ignition to start it will. Let go to on position car dies
