Well I, m freezing my butt off ! Anyway the heater motor works but it blows out cold air as well as luke warm but when I, m going down the road, there must be a hole somewhere under the dash on the passenger side as the cold air flow is increased SIGNIFICANTLY. And it doesnt blow very good out of panel vents. I had a mechanic work on it, and he said he had to hot glue some of the air flow routing under the dash as they had come apart and wouldnt stay together. The air conditioner doesnt work at all but need heater first so not concerned with that. As long as I do not have the heater motor on high, it will blow out a small amount of luke warm air for the defroster, IF I, m NOT moving. Once I start to move the car down the road, the cold air flow is WAY too much for the heater to compensate. I was wanting to know the heater system routing diagram, what it looks like, inside and out, all the parts that play a role for my heater, & what underneath the dash is supposed to look like on passenger side so I can find that hole & close it

I'M A JEEP GUY

I'VE DONE SOME MODIFICATIONS TO MY HEATER(S) OVER THE YEARS

THE DIAGRAM YOU WERE JUST SENT BY JohnnyT73 SHOW THE ACTUAL HEATER BOX, THERE IS ADDITIONAL DUCT ABOVE THAT - I DO NOT HAVE A PIC OF THAT

I MODIFIED JohnnyT73's DIAGRAM SLIGHTLY - SEE MY 1ST PIC
.
.
THE REMAINING PICS ARE OF MY JEEP, I'M SENDING THEM BECAUSE IT IS A REALLY SIMPLE SET UP AND YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND HOW THE HEATER BOXES WORK IN GENERAL

- I DID FIND A WAY TO RECIRCULATE MY INTERIOR AIR WITHOUT THE NEED OF USING OUTSIDE AIR TO PUSH THRU MY HEATER CORE (SORTA A AMERICAN MOTORS GLITCH THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED) BASICALLY I MADE SOME MODIFICATIONS TO THE HEATER DOOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. (NOT SAYING IT WILL BE THAT EZ FOR YOU!) BUT NOW I CAN RECIRCULATE THE INSIDE AIR, AS WELL AS STILL USE THE SYSTEM AS IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY

THE "COLD AIR" PART FROM OUTSIDE AIR IS MOST LIKELY YOUR PROBLEM WITH A PROBABLE "TORE UP HEATER SYSTEM OF SOME SORT"

SEE-UNS HOW YA'LL HAVE DONE SOME MODS ALREADY, I'D SAY YOUR GOAL IS TO SOMEHOW CLOSE THE OUTER DOORS. THIS MIGHT INVOLVE TAKING CABLES LOOSE/ DISCONNECTING VACUUM MOTORS OR ELECTRIC MOTORS, AND "TYING/ WIRING" A DOOR SHUT. LIKE I SAID, I HAVE NO CLUE ON HOW YOUR DOORS ARE ACTUATED

IT SEEMED YOU HAD "AIR FLOW" PROBLEMS, BUT THE "HEAT" WAS FINE (IF YOU COULD USE IT) SO I WON'T GO INTO A "STOPPED UP HEATER CORE" POSSIBILITY

REMEMBER #2 PIC THRU THE END, IS OF MY JEEP- NOTE THE DUCTWORK ABOVE THE ACTUAL BOX THAT GOES TO MY HOOD VENT. LOOK AT MY DOOR POSITIONS

AS YOU CAN SEE, I HAVE NOTHING MUCH TO DO! THERE WERE ANOTHER 10 OR 12 PICS I MADE, I DID NOT THINK THEY WOULD AID YOU

KEEP US POSTED ON PROGRESS

I'm a Dodge girl myself. But my truck (which needs a new 318) isn't running and uses a bit too much gas for every day back & forth cuz I live 22 miles from town. But DANG I sure miss it. My deceased husband & my pickup just hated each other. But he did give it credit by saying, "There isn't another vehicle within a thousand miles that could have put up with you better than your truck, dear, and still make it out in one piece." It's an '87 dodge 150.

Im a Ram (Dodge) truck person myself. I currently have a 2003 Dodge Dakota 4.7 4x4 quadcab 151k miles. My truck before this was my favorite and HATED to sell it, but having a single cab truck wasn't working out. It was a 1989 Dodge D100 (last year of that model) 318 shortbed with 69k original miles a/c, cruise control, and overdrive trans. GREAT looking truck. Got a lot of compliments. Before that was a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Laramie 4x4 with 43k miles quadcab. Im currently dieing to own a new 2014 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. What a workhorse of a truck and get 30mpg.

Ok, on the first diagram of the heater assembly, is that looking at it from inside the car or engine compartment? I recognize the blower motor and a few things but for some reason the angle of the diagram is confusing me.
