Coolant leak

91 chevy astro van coolant leak from engine area underneath, checked freeze plugs, checked heatercore checked hoses my son says it appeared to be leaking from starter so he removed starter and coolant came out from starter bolt holes in block/bellhousing what could be causing this leak?

The starter bolts into an area where there are no water jackets or anything near it. It could be the freeze plug right at the starter or a head gasket maybe. Best thing is to get it hot and have it pressure checked to see where it's coming from. It could also be coming from the intake at the rear and leaking down. That's why to pressure check it and pull the engine cowl off to get a good look at back of motor.
