I have a schematic telling how to test a Digital EGR Valve wireing, it say, "TEST LIGHT CONNECTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE".The question I have is this, does this mean that you hook the test light to the + Post of the battery or does this mean you hook the test light to any hot wire on the engine? Thank You.

So are trying to test the signal to the egr valve with the test light? Most of the time the issue with the linar egr valves is they get carboned up and stick open or closed.Do you have any codes in the computer?Have you checked to make sure the egr ports are clear?

rasmataz, I have a basic test light, but I don't know if I should hook the metal clip to the + side of the battery or hook the metal clip to a hot wire.

I really don't think you should be probing around with that test light at all. I'm betting that you are not using a "computer safe" test light and you can easily burn out the quad drivers in the computer that way. You cannot use an incandescent bulb, only LED.

Wrenchtech is right get a led test light. Also how did you make sure the egr ports were clear?Did you remove the egr valve and start it for a few seconds and see if you can hear a loud exhaust leak and the engine races?
