May be a crank or cam angle sensor fault, can you get a scan done to check for codes?

You can manually test sensors with a test rig but a scan is a cheaper and quicker option, Plead your case with a local mechanic they may come out and do a scan, it takes only a few min to do it.

Hate to see people spending hard earned money on cars with out first knowing all the details, we really must get a scan done to see what codes are set before moving on, I would hate to see you spend money on a sensor if it is not the root cause.
