I have a 1990 nissan pathfinder 4wd, auto transmission, it shakes all over badly while driving at highway speeds the shaking goes away when I let up on the gas it also goes away when I accelerate it has 249000 miles on it what is most likely causing this. Thank you

What you need to do here, is have them tires, wheel alignment and suspension checked thoroughly-

Since problem is present only when accelerator is depressed, the most likely cause would be the U-joints on the propeller shaft.
