I HAVE A 90 LINCOLN TOWNCAR THE TRANSIMISSION I TOOK OUT HAD A 51 ON THE TOP THE ONE I AM PUTTING IN HAS A 24 ON IT WILL IT WORK AND DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL PARTS

Check the I.D. Tag (see pic) on the side of the transmission, this will show model type, the number you mention my just be a casting number, this is not important.
