1990 honda accord w/4sp aT, Sport light is on, and car says in 2nd gear with the D3 or D4 position is used. 1 and 2 work properly, Also when in Park, I an hear relay (sounds like relay) chattering behind dash pad on upper left section behind left dash vent. When I put it in any gear including neutral OR I step on the brake chattering stops.

Have it scanned for codes and let us know what they come up with.

Sorry for the long delay. In early Jan, I started looking at it again, started car, same relay chattering, moved it in the garage, shut if off and later restarted. Chattering relay has stopped and car shifts fine ever since. No codes in TCU but ECU still reads 17 (VSS) which was replaced because of an earlier problem, Thought code wound reset, but after 2 months of use, still there. Can runs fine for now, and since you guys have been so helpful in the past, did not want to leave the post un finished. Thanks Nick

Our pleasure. You can disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the code.

Please tell all of your friends about us.
