Hi my name is Joe: I had a engine light bulb out, in order to replace it I had to remove the dash board, When I removed it I saw that I had to remove the circuit board in order to get to the light bulb, after I replaced it and put everything back together, the check engine light came on like normal, But I noticed that my
fuel, water temp, and Tachometer were not working, I could use some help on how to fix this problem, All so there is a (S)circled beneath sifter marks, Something to do with thee transmission, some one told me its like a performance button for regular drive and for little better performance. It just blinks all the time, I push the button of and on and I don't see any difference, could there be a short of some kind that wont let this feature to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Recheck the meter cluster screws and wire connectors. Either a ground or power circuit seems to be bad.

The S = Sports mode. It does not do much except change the shifting characteristics for the auto transmission. When in S mode, the same throttle opening as compared to normal mode would not upshift, the time has been delayed.

When the S light is indicating, it means an error has been detected by the transmission control module and you can retrieve the trouble code by reading the blinking of the LED in view window of the TCM.

Flip up the passenger carpet and look for a round wiindow. Turn ignition ON and read the flashing of the LED to get the code. A delayed flash = 10 counts and a brief blink = 1. A longer pause would indicate the start of the next code. If only one code is present, the code would repeat.
