My aircon not working, replaced drive belt on.

My aircon not working, replaced drive belt on compressor as there was none when I got it. When I operate climit control unit, it switchs on fan works but when I switch aircon on nothing happens not even the compressor go on when the motor is running. The last owner told me that an electrician done some repairs on climit control unit. Can you help me

The system may be out of refrigerant, I would bet this checked out first this is the most common cause, if it is low, there will be a leak in the system that must be repaired first, start here.
