My 1990 GMC Sierra has no tail lights (running or brake) when the headlights are on. The blinkers at the front of the truck work fine, however in the back they only work when the brake is not applied. If the brake is applied both blinkers come on in the back, but are dim. Any suggestions?

Check your ground for the lights back there. Also they have a small circuit board that can go bad.

Thanks for the answer but the ground is good and I checked both of my taillights with another 90 Chevy and the circuit boards are good in both of the lights. I have checked all the wires and everything looks good. This wiring problem has really got me stumped.

Then pull your bulbs out and check for corrosion. If there is none, then put dielectric copound around the bulb base and see if it cures it. If they are dim it's really dounds like a ground orpoor connection.
