Hi there. I have a 1990 ford Escort Eclipse 1.3 HCS and since changing the Thermostat, the engine temp gauge reads hot. The car runs lovely and much better than before the new Thermostat, and there is no sign of over heating at all. Could my temp sender be ******ed?

Yes, it might be the sending unit? I didn't find anything on an escort eclipse? Some escorts you can take connector loose from sending unit, use two different size resistors, key on, see if gage reacts properly to each resistor. I don't know about escort eclipse?
