I have a 98 escort zx2. My water temperature guageis pegged all the way to hot. I have no leaks. I have replaced the temp sensor and thermostat with no results. I was told at ford that the slosh module may be bad, unfortunately they cannot tell me where it is. None of the diagrams at teh parts counter show this part. Where is it located?

They can't tell you were it is because there is no such animal! You may have a waterpump with worn out vanes tho!

Be aware that these cars ar notorious for having bad temp sending units. Make sure you change the one for the gauge and see if it makes a difference.

(I'm assuming you're NOT boiling over!)

I was having the same problem. First I bought a coolant flush kit and cleaned out. That kept it decent for a while then replaced my water pump because it occured again and found my water pump was just deteriated away.
