1990 Dodge Dynasty Trunk lid motor or switch

The trunk lid does not lock into place as it previously did. I used to hear an electric switch or lock when I wpul close the lid of the trunk. I replaced several fuses but this had no effect. Please give me any advice.

The trunk lid is flat flush like it used to be but there is a light on the dashboard for the 4 doors trunk lid and hood. The light for the trunk stays on constantly. Also when you hit a speed hump or pot hole the trunk will open. I cannot lock the trunk. I tightened the mounting screws. Also the electric trunk release button also works. There appears to be no problems with the key as it still turn the lock tumblers.
