1990 Chevrolet Sprint tail brake light

I cant get the burnt out light out of the socket to put in the new one. Its stuck. Doesnt spin to come out, doesnt just slide out, I tried using a flat head to pry apart the sides holding it in but it still doesnt budge. Its right in there and I need it out. Please help thanks

It doesn't spin because it's not supposed to hold the socket and pull the bulb out. Your new bul shold have jus tmetal pieces on the ends to where it pushes into the socket. Unless it's a headlight bulb which may or may not have a ring around it. If it has the ring twist the ring and bulb and socket should come outafter the ring is removed then the bulb comes out. If it's a headlight bulb do not touch the bulb with your hands use a Kleenex. If you have already touched it use alcohol to wipe it off first.

Sorry thought this wa s new car some times they stick in socket we dont' have that model in u.S. For that year.
