I have a 1990 chevy c1500 pickup. My brake lights don't work when I turn the headlights on but they work when the headlights are off. What could be causing this? I have replaced the brake pedal switch, the headlight switch, turn signal cam switch, and the rear circuit boards and bulbs. Any suggestions

Check ground at left rear of frame. Sound slike the ground isn't any good.

It kinda looks like it but it should be a bout a 14 gauge wire with an eyelet on the end and bolt goes through it, but with the age of your truck someone may have put that on it. But also check your socket as well and use dielectric compound on bulbs where they go in. From your description though it certainly sounds like the lights are grounding and can't get enough ground when power goes to it.
