There is no spark from the coil pack

We have checked to see if there is spark coming from the coil pack and there is none does this mean we need to replace whole coil pack or just the top

Try checking the crankshaft positioning sensor before you replace the coil pack-

Is the coil pack receiving power? Check to see if the crankshaft position sensor is receiving power. Check continuity to ground on the other leg of the CPS sensor. If all these are good, then the coil pack needs to be replaced.
