Is very tough to get started

Once started it runs ok but bogs out at 300 rpm. Put a distributor in now no spark you have to start it by cranking and feathering the gas. Once started wont go over 300 rpm an bogs out like its missing. Replaced distributor yesterday now wont start at all like its not getting gas or spark. Had it put on a diagnostics machine it gave me the codes dtc 4, 8, and 9.

Re check your work to make sure everything is connected.
Check for spark at the plugs when cranking. Check fuel pressure.

When was the last time you had the timing belt replaced.

Code 4, 8 and 9 is a fault wih the distributor. Ensure the connector is plugged in securely.

Difficult starting are quite often caused by a bad PGM-FI main relay. Check the fuel pressure. If ppressure is not available, check the relay.
