I have a 1989 volkswagen vanagon digifant I put a new distributor in it and now it runs but has no power. I have a big green repair manual for the car but it doesn't explain timing or cylinder number and placement, or position of the distributor and firing order. Can you lease help?

You could have installed the distributor with the timing too retarded. Try twisting the distributor against the rotor turning position a little and retest.

Our database does not have information on your vehicle so I am not able to get any information as to the firing order. If engine does not misfire or run rough, the firing order should be correct.
