1989 Mercury Sable Stalls

After at least 10min of driving while running fine. When you put it in park it stalls and dies. Turn key off then restarts fine. So why is that. Im thinking a sensor or something. While its running everything is normal. Sometimes the lights are a little dimmer.

Since the lights sometimes get dimmer, you should have the battery and alternator tested. As far as the stalling, check for vacuum leaks and check the idle air control valve (IAC). The IAC is responsible for maintaining the engine idle speed.
