How to remove the wiper mechanism on a 1989 mercedes-benz 260e W124 series?

The wiper gets stuck half way threw, but if I nudge it a little bit it completes the wipe. On the next wipe it does it again. Do I need to replace the mechanism or is there a simple solution to the problem.

WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR - ALL OTHERS
Remove air inlet cover near cowl. Pry open cover plate and remove Allen screw. Remove wiper
arm from shaft. Remove nuts and mounting clamp from motor. Disconnect wiring connector
and remove wiper assembly. Remove motor shaft nut and pry off drive lever. Unbolt motor
from bracket and remove.

To install, ensure wiper motor is in park position before installation. Position drive arm onto
motor shaft as shown. See Fig. 2. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
