When I start the car it starts fine but turns off right away with the slightest touch to the ignition switch. If I hold the switch up it will stay on with no problem. As soon as I let it go and just tap it it turns off. I replaced the switch and it worked fine but after I put everything back together it stared doing the same thing.

Did you replace the actual electrical switch or where the key goes?

Okay. That isn't the actual ignition switch. It is located down on the steering column. There is a rod that runs from the tumbler (where the key goes) down to an electrical switch. My guess is that switch is bad.
