I have two Buick LeSabres, a 1989 daily driver and a 1990 parts car. The '89 has a regular double master cylinder on a brake booster under the hood while the '90 also has a small tank labeled 'brake fluid under high pressure' next to master cylinder. What is the difference in the two systems and can they be safely interchanged by an amateur home mechanic if needed? So far I have used two brake lines to keep 89 on road. Also what is difference in electrical systems between a custom and the non custom?
