Since you have rats chewing on wires, that should be the cause of electrical components not working.

Before you go further, look through areas that rats have been through and check for broken woire, Have them repaired and retest.

Wiring diagrams are not necessary now but if you wnat them you have to be specific on which system as there are too many diagrams for me to post.
