Trying to figure out why the car sounds funny when I start it. It just sounds like it doesn't want to start. But it does I don't believe it's the starter and it kinda grinds when it starts also how would I be able to keep my car running pretty good even though it's up to 208000 miles? Thanks for your time

If maintenance/upkeep of the vehicle is good, there is nothing more you need to do to keep it running for much longer. Just ensure oil change is done when due and ensure you have no leaks with the cooling system. Replace hoses that are failing.

As to the startting, I do not understand the exact situation as the explanation is rather vague.
