Looking at buying this car-it has been meticuloiusly maintained, but tranny leaks. Owner says runs strong, just need to top it off regularly. Is this a common minor problem and the car will be ok for the long haul or is a huge repair cost around the corner?

Go spend a few dollars and get the transmission checked, if just a gasket not a real problem, if a front seal the box has to come out, best know now than get a nasty surprise later.
