88 T-bird Runs while cranking.

My 88 T-bird will only run while holding the key in the cranking position, I was able to rev it up while cranking, but as soon as I let off of the key it shuts down, any clues?

Need volt meter or test light check BLUE fuse link at starter relay if good check ignition switch contacts maybe faulty in run position

Great, now is the starter relay the one on the (R) side in front of the strut tower mount?
