I got a f150 88 4.9 straight 6 I just put a new head on it, how do I set the rocker arms do I just torque the bolts down or do I have to set with a feeler gage

Tighten to 24 to 31 Nm which is 17.7 ft lb to 22.8 ft lbs

Is that it? That's all you don't have to set them with a feeler gage and does it have to be on tdc when I do this?

Just make sure they are not on high cam when you tighten them. There is a lash spec but the only way to change it is to get different length pushrods.
