I have a 1987 mazda rx7, with the stock 13b rotary engine. It will not idle, my brother has changing the mass air flow sensor and the throttle position sensor, but still no luck. He may have messed it up, because when he was driving it home to me it was overheating real bad and he would turn it off and let it cool down and then run it till it overheated again. Any advice helps im desperate to get my car running so thanks to anyone who can help.

Thanks, but its not overheatin anymore, it just wont idle. We tried to put a new computer in it today too because my dad thought maybe my brother fried it by overheatin it and turnin it off and overheatin it again, but that didnt fix it either.

Use this guide when the engine is cold only

Please go over these guides and get back to us.
