Hi, my truck is older should I buy a Toyota convertor for 700.00 with a one year warranty or a aftermarket convertor for 170.00 with a five year warranty? Would the quality be so different to pay such a large amount?

See if the aftermarket and new one had any modifications done to them. Sometimes companies update parts for older vehicles with new designs to minimize wearing out or flaws from manufacturing. Personally I would do the less expensive since it has a better warranty but if it goes you have to pull it out, but is free replacement within 5 years. Also check for special instructions that are given with each so as to not void any warranty. Its really just a personal preference and really analyzing the features and benefits from both.

SOMETIMES THE WARRANTY IS VALID IF IT WAS USED IN A "STOCK APPLICATION".....MIGHT BE VOID IF IT WAS USED FOR A MUDDER OR RACING

.....HARD AS IT MIGHT BE TO CHECK.........SOME WARRANTYS ARE ONLY VALID IF THE PART WAS DEFECTIVE...NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR DON'T COUNT

I HAVE NOT HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH AFTERMARKET STUFF---WHEN HAVE HAD WARRANTY ISSUES.....SAVING THE RECEIPTS IN A BOOK, EVEN COPYING ONES THAT ARE ON THERMAL PAPER (FADERS).........GENERALLY IMPRESSES 'EM, AND THEY GO AHEAD AND MAKE IT ALL BETTER! (WORN OR NOT) I HAVEN'T BOUGHT BRAKE SHOES FOR MY '77 JEEP IN 20 YEARS, I JUST KEEP ON SWAPPIN' 'EM OUT!....SAME THING WITH MR. ALTERNATOR....FUEL PUMP....ON AND ON!........SEE MY LAST ANSWER IN THIS LINK....CLICK ON MY PICS

LOOKS LIKE THEY START AT $137.99---$162.99

IF THIS STORE IS AVAILABLE TO YOU---I CAN SHOW YOU HOW TO SAVE $40 MORE THAN THOSE PRICES!
