This question is about the dipstick in a 4.2 jag motor 258cuin, the prsent stick is 21an 3/4 inchlong has markings on tip 340/4.2 is this the right one, it says 5 qts of oil is overfull but the motor should take 2or3 qts more, does any body know? I was thinking of buying a used one that fit on line but I dont know if that would be good or not. Thanks for your help.

I tried to buy a new dipstick but the cost was $85. Plus tax a used one is 35 or less, thanks for not answering my question , I guess you dont know which dipstick to use, or if the one I have is right or wrong, thanks anways for your help.
