The car will be running and all of a sudden it looses power. It will pick back up on its own but seems to be electrical problem. Where do I begin?

First, check fuel pump pressure, catalytic converter, and let me know if the check engine light has come on.

The check engine light has come on. It ususall goes off within a few minutes.
The fuel pump seems to have plenty of pressure at start-up. Not sure about the catalytic covertyer, it does not seem to overheat or smell.
Thanks for the quick response

Honestly, you need to check the pressure. It may not be as high as you think. As far as the converter, when the engine is hot and you're having the problem, take a look at it to see if it is glowing red hot.
