Recheck your work. EIther you have them too tight or too loose.

Tightened 3/4 turn after no movement felt on push rods. Chiltons said to do than 1 and 1/2 turns. Haynes said to do it 3/4 turn. Have done it both ways, neither makes a difference. Any other ideas?
