So I have a problem I just replaced the starter on my 85 ford f-250 and now when I connect the batter the truck will turn over with the ignition off? Is it the solenoid? Or a bad ignition? It's been really cold lately I'm just wondering if something is frozen

This should have a starter solenoid on the fender well. Make sure the battery cable is on one side of it and the cable going to the starter is on the other side. You can unhook the cable going down to the starter and hook the battery back up and see if you have voltage on the side of the solenoid that goes to the starter if you do you have one of two problems. The solenoid contacts are stuck or you have voltage to the small wire all the time. You should only get voltage to the small wire when the key is turned to the start position.
