I have a 1984 porsche 944. I was driving to work and the crankshaft pulley came off. I got a factory bolt and torqued it to specs, but it still makes a rattling noise. What could the problem be and how much might it cost to get it repaired?

Without actually seeing the job it is difficult to say, the pulley may have sustained some damage and it might be wallowed out and require replacement, the crank snout could be at risk as well. There is a place I know that can supply the parts if needed.
